Wordless Wednesday: Animals

While I worked at the zoo, I had the opportunity to handle different types of animals in our education classes.

Bobby the Bunny

Senegal Parrot

Young American Alligator

Dumeril's Ground Boa

Jersey Wooly Rabbit
Note: All photographs taken by me or for me with my camera as I handled an animal.

I linked up with the following blog(s):

  1. Kids had lop ear bunnies once when young and they were so cute. I could hold the bunnies but no alligators or snakes. Thanks for sharing.

    1. I will admit that the Dumerial's ground boa was not my favorite. I preferred the red-tailed boa - they were much more predictable.

  2. Wow, an alligator! How cool! That is a really neat way to teach, talk about hands on learning. Have a great week!

    1. Taking care of the alligators was very cool. Especially since they were small...the reptile keepers handled all the adults. Hope you have a good week, too!

    1. If it was our female Dumeril's Ground Boa, I had no problem with her. The male was a bit unpredictable so I tended to use our other boas for programs.

  4. I would enjoy everything but being that close to an alligator. Those teeth freak me out.

    1. The worst part was picking them up from their housing and or the crate...holding them was okay once you had a grip around their neck and lower body. (Thanks for hosting the link up!)

  5. I will pass on the aligator and snake, but the rest bring them on! Super cute!

    1. Understand! Not everyone likes the reptiles (like me). Thanks for visiting.
